IMSCDR helps in inculcating among its students deep rooted ethical values by conducting various extension activities with various NGOs. These activities are developed to expose the students to various problems the society faces and to develop a critical thinking attitude in finding ingenious ways to solve them. These activities are created to make the participating candidates better personally and professionally thereby making them model citizens.

Extension Activities

The students will work along with the NGOs and take part in blood donation camps, visit to ideal villages, take part in tree plantation activities, deliver educational exhibitions at the NGOs. The students will also visit various NGOs namely, Snehalaya, Bhau Saheb Firodia Vridhashram, Bosco- Gramin Vikas Kendra, Janki Bai Apte Deaf and Dumb school, Saavali, Obeservation homes and many more of the like.

The students also have an opportunity in hearing the varied experiences of the people in these NGOs and the society and in turn interacting with them.

  • National Service Scheme (NSS)

    Dr. S. B. Kolte, Director General of the Institute was actively involved in the activities of the sister concern ‘Centre for Studies in Rural Development (CSRD)’, Ahmednagar. This Centre played an instrumental role in revitalizing education by relating it to the needs of the rural people. He worked in more than 45 villages in the district of Ahmednagar motivating rural people for development work. He initiated lot of irrigation projects, worked to improve the education and the health standards of the rural folk. It may be mentioned that this Centre provided a model for what is presently known in India as the National Service Scheme.

  • Vasundhara Vruksh Savardhan Samiti

    The Director General of the Institute, Dr. S. B. Kolte, has encouraged a group of women from Shrirampur Tehsil in the Ahmednagar district to form ‘Vasundhara Vruksh Savardhan Samiti’. This Samiti, which is an NGO, is working in the area of environment protection, has undertaken Tree Plantation at various places in Shrirampur. They have planted more than 5,000 trees

  • Social Activities for Villages

    The faculty and students visit various villages like ‘Ralegaon Sidhi, Hiware Bazar, Pargaon, Vadgaon Amli etc. The objective of such visits is to sensitize the students towards rural issues and rural development. The students also undertake various activities for such villages like tree plantation, IT awareness.

  • Educational Exhibition

    The faculty and students participates in various exhibitions for creating awareness regarding various opportunities in management education.

The prime objective of these activities is to sensitize the students towards the various social problems and becoming responsible citizens.
