Bachelor of Vocation (B.Voc)

IMS offers Bachelor of Vocation (B.Voc) courses in Travel and Tourism and Banking, Financial Services and Insurance. Both B.Voc courses are AICTE approved and offered under the Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune. The B. Voc. Programme is a credit based programme with a total of 180 credit points over a span of three years. (60 credit points per year.) The programme is run with two components, the General Education component and the Skill component. The practical orientation of the program helps students gain knowledge and skills that can be immediately applied to the work situation. The primary objective of the B.Voc course is to add to the employability of students in crucial sectors of the economy.

B.Voc Coordinator's Message

IMS has a reputation for novel and need-based courses. Understanding the current need for skill-based education, IMS has started delivering vocational education where the main focus is on developing the skill aspect of the student. The recent National Education Policy speaks heavily in favour of promoting vocational education. B.Voc courses offered at IMS are a unique blend of theoretical as well as skill building components with regards to a specific sector, which gives an opportunity to students to acquire skills at undergraduate level in order to leverage their career prospects.

Eligibility

Candidates for being eligible for admission to the Degree course in Travel & Tourism (T&T) or Banking, Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI) shall have passed 12th Std. Examination (H.S.C.10+2) from any stream (Arts/Commerce/Science) with English as a passing subject and must have secured 45% marks at 12th Std.
